Steamed Cottage cheese or Indian paneer is a very quick recipe, which has high protein value. People who can’t eat animal protein cottage cheese is a very good protein food source for them. Though some veggie eaters don't like cottage cheese at all because of its rubber-like texture after cooking. But in this recipe, cottage cheese will be softer than before. I hope this recipe will be loved by those who don't like paneer.

Cook time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2 People

Ingredients:

Cottage cheese or Paneer square shape - 100 grams
Pea's(Frozen or fresh)- 1/2 Cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
Red sweet paprika powder - 1/2 Tsp
Ginger grated - 1 Tsp
Garlic grated - 1 Tsp
Grated coconut -1 Tsp
Deseeded Green chilli chopped -1/2 Tsp
Cumin powder -1/2 Tsp
Coriander powder -1/2 Tsp
Black pepper powder-1/4 Tsp
Garam masala powder - Blend of 1/2 inch size cinnamon stick, 2 cloves, 4 Green small cardamom pods.
Unsalted Butter - 1 Tblsp
Water - 2 Tblsp.
Salt -1/2 Tsp or as per your taste.
Pinch of sugar (If you wish to add)
Few Cilantro or coriander leaves chopped for decoration

How to cook:

Take a medium size steel bowl, so that you can use this bowl on a steamer after marination compleat.Include Cottage cheese, turmeric powder, Red Sweet paprika powder, ginger & garlic, coconut grated, Deseeded Green chilli chopped, Cumin powder, Coriander powder, Black pepper powder, Garam masala powder, pea's, Unsalted Butter, Water, Salt & Sugar Into the bowl. Mix all the Ingredients very well. Cover the bowl with a lid & put the bowl in the Fridge.

 Marinate the mixture for 5 - 10 mins. After 5- 10 mines take out the bowl from the fridge and uncover it. Now add fresh chopped cilantro into it.

Mix all the things again very well. Now prepare a steamer. Once the steamer ready put the steel bowl into it & cover the steamer with a lid for 5-10 mins.

 Please check the expected time. Press the paneer with a spoon if you feel cheese is bounced back that means the dish is ready to serve.

If your cheese watery don't worry just steam the thing for few more mint, then the excess water will evaporate. Once the dish is ready.

Serve this with Pita, roti or any form of rice Dish.
